I would also like to take this opportunity to inform you that my organization, InnerFlow Works, operates under a Pay-It-forward model. Those who can afford to pay for my services invest in their healing and transformational journeys. As they heal, they also offer the gift of life transformation to others who are less fortunate in various ways.

For example, a portion of your fees for all my retreats will go towards supporting our charity causes, mainly in the communities where we host our retreats, particularly those that help vulnerable children access good quality of life and education. This support includes covering school fees, providing school materials such as uniforms, books, laptops, clothing and shoes, warm meals, mentoring, and mental, emotional, and spiritual support.

If you’re interested in joining our small team of volunteers to contribute to changing our world by offering your support through your practical skills or donating funds and practical materials such as clothing, shoes, old laptops, etc., please visit the special projects page on this site to learn more about our volunteer work and how you can join our small team.

We would love to hear from you!

WELLNESS & SAFARI 10-DAY LUXURY RETREAT

UGANDA, THE PEARL OF AFRICA

16th-26th of May 2025

Join a small, intimate group of a maximum of sixteen like-minded people on a 10-day spectacular journey into the Heart of Africa to rest, restore, and reset your mind, body, and soul through a consciously designed itinerary that includes profoundly relaxing and highly adventurous activities.

Our experienced guides will lead you through various activities that will stimulate your creativity and adventurous spirit and help you access your inner healing resources in the lush and sustainable environment of the luxurious KYANINGA LODGE in the Southwest region of Uganda.

Kyaninga Luxury Lodge overlooks Lake Kyaninga. The lake is the clearest of western Uganda’s many crater lakes and is two hundred and twenty meters deep. The water in the lake has a very high mineral content, which keeps almost all plant life at bay and prevents algae. The lake is bilharzia-free and is, therefore, one of the very few Ugandan lakes safe to swim in. The unique experience of swimming in the lake will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed, the perfect antidote to a long, hot safari or Chimpanzee trekking trip. Kayaks and paddleboards are available upon request.

The lodge offers nine exclusive spacious cottages surrounded by unspoiled natural beauty and breathtaking scenery, such as the backdrop vistas of the Rwenzori mountains, also known as the mountains of the moon. The main building houses the restaurant, including two raised galleries for those wishing to absorb the panorama in a more private setting. Breakfast and lunch are served inside the restaurant or al fresco on one of our terrace tables.

The bar area features an imposing double-sided open fireplace lit every evening around sunset. This is a perfect setting for group discussions and one-on-one interactions, a great opportunity for all participants to connect, get to know each other, and possibly make what could turn out to be life-long friendships.

Below the main lodge are two decks furnished with comfortable loungers. Steps hewn from local volcanic rock lead down to the swimming pool and onto two lawned terraces overlooking the deep blue water and primeval forest of Lake Kyaninga itself.

Crater Rim Walks: The route around the top of the crater takes about an hour and a half to complete. It offers spectacular views of the lake, the Rwenzori Mountains, and the beautiful rolling hills of Fort Portal. A guide is not necessary but is available free of charge.

Forest Walks: The route inside the crater is a little tougher than the rim, but it is worth it for the sights and sounds of the unspoiled virgin forest teeming with wildlife and exotic plant species, a must for nature lovers. Here, you will see bat caves, troupes of black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, vervets, and bird species, which are too numerous to mention.

Our blended relaxation and adventurous itinerary is designed to help you let go of all worries and concerns back home and come alive in each moment through a journey of mesmerizing scenery and mindfully curated activities during your 10-day journey.

The edge of the spectacular Kyaninga Crater Lake provides the perfect starting point for exploring the beautiful surrounding region. Stepping out from your cottage, your adventure begins… Kyanina Lodge’s attractive gardens provide a serene setting for relaxation, reflection, yoga and meditation sessions, group writing classes, restorative circles, and a games space.

The 10-day retreat will include daily early-morning guided invigorating yoga sessions to boost your energy and prepare you for the day’s exciting adventures and guided meditation and reflective writing evening sessions for deep relaxation, inner introspection, and the release of any intrusive thoughts of emotions in a cozy and comfortable setting, preparing your mind, body, and spirit for a good night’s sleep with the background soothing African wilderness nocturnal sounds.

Scosam Adventure Tours, in collaboration with Susan J. Nassuna, the founder of InnerFlow Works, presents an excellent opportunity for you to embark on an inspirational, healing, and transformational journey in a stunning setting with a small and intimate group of people for meaningful and deep connections.

Susan’s extensive experience in guiding meditation, mindfulness, energy work, storytelling for healing, and writing for wellness programs, paired with her warm, enthusiastic, and compassionate nature and unique spiritual gifts for hosting sacred therapeutic and spiritual rituals and ceremonies, has helped hundreds of her clients relax profoundly and access their life force energy within, leading them to profound inner revelations, healings, and transformations.

During this life-transformative 10-day retreat, Susan and her intimate team of highly experienced co-hosts will guide you through a mindful, fun-filled, adventurous, and creative program that will leave you feeling profoundly relaxed, renewed, inspired, and ready to re-create your life by kickstarting your passion for a purposeful and contented life upon leaving Uganda and returning home.

This retreat is a flexible opportunity for you to relax, restore, and reset in the company of others while choosing to participate in those activities you feel most excited about. There is no set rigid agenda. It’s all up to you!

Whether you want to relax by the pool, take a nature walk in the forest, swim in the lake, chill in your cottage, or participate in our daily scheduled events, the choice is yours.

We aim to give you an unforgettable, adventurous, relaxing, and rebalancing experience.

  • Our Wellness Safari Retreats are not substitutes for medical advice, evaluation, or treatment.

Individuals with ongoing severe mental health or physical issues or those who have recently experienced a traumatic event may find our retreats too exhausting to participate in. We therefore strongly recommend that you don't sign up for any of our retreats if you are not in top mental, physical, or emotional condition. This is to avoid having unwanted side effects so far away from home and significant hospitals and disrupting other participants' healing, refreshing, and adventurous experiences.

We also strongly recommend that all participants have travel insurance in case of a medical emergency that forces them to cancel their trip. As mentioned earlier, we don't offer refunds. In that case, having travel insurance will save you from losing your funds.
